How to fix key that locks up in the ignition

It won't come out when you turn the ignition off? If it is a new key, it may need to get polished/buffed. Sounds like one of the teeth are getting caught on the lil tumblers inside the ignition. If it is an old key or ignition, you may need to have a new one cut or replace ignition. Otherwise, I wouldn't suggest putting anything into the ignition to lubricate it, in fear that it make gunk it up and make matters worse.

No not a new, truck steering wheel locked into place can’t turn key. Could it be the ignition switch
