My 1998 Toyota Corolla LE has a thumping noise on the back passenger side. Everything seems tight.

It thumps worse on rough roads but does thump some even on smooth roads.  
Does this car have body mounts that I should check?  If not, what could it be?

Check to see if a strut or strut mount is broken, loose or damaged.

The struts/shocks top mounting bolts are accessed from the trunk. Have a look there also, pull the cover over spare up . And it has a torsion bar, make sure both ends are in their mounts and even torsion bar not broken
