Asked by AgentCar Feb 28, 2017 at 06:30 PM about the 1995 Toyota Corolla DX

Question type: General

I had a oil leak on the backside of my
Corolla engine spray oil onto the belts. It
would over heat in roughly 30 minutes. The
leak was near the timing belt but don't
know what needs to be fixed any ideas as
to what happened and what it might cost
me?

That would be the front side of the engine. It could be from the valve cover. Just needs to be looked at and tore down to see. The overheating would worry me, possible head gasket. Probably should take it to a shop for evaluation. Lots of miles on this, may need a new engine.
