Chevy cobalt want start giving a lock signal

My car want start all of a sudden
the lights an everything comes on
but it just want start

Make sure your battery is fully charged. Load test it if you're not sure. Make sure electircal connections and grounds are clean and tight. Scan it for trouble codes. That will probably give you some direction.
