2005 LE 4 cylinder with 40K miles

Asked by cliffusn2 May 12, 2016 at 07:54 PM about the 2005 Toyota Camry LE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Do I need to change the coolant fluid? I can't find anything on the maintenance
schedule...The hoses look good, but who knows?
Thanks,
Cliff

Go by color of the coolant if it looks dirty of starts to look brown it's time to change/ flush it is personally think every year or so try and change it but that's me being picky

Thanks Mark...Sounds reasonable to me. I also wonder about transmutation fluid....I used to do this maintenance, all the time, but the manufacture doesn't seen to address this subject. Thanks again, Cliff

IF the coolant is original and the vehicle has no leaks or overheating problem....I would leave it be. Most modern coolants should last around 100,000 miles. There should be attached to the Owner's Manual...a Maintenance Schedule indicating when the cooling system should be serviced. Just my opinion.
