spark or fuel pressure may be weak or low , some cars are particular . This happened out of the blue ? Let us know what happens .

timing belt is always a possibility , take the oil filler cap off and see if the rockers are moving when it's cranking .

Turn the key to on but don't crank ,,, the fuel pump should stop after a few seconds .. if it continues to run then bad pump ..if it stops then check "security" ... whats curious is if you have a spark and sprayed fluid ,, why you didn't a least get a "try to start" sound

Suggest you pull the engine dipstck and smell the engine oil. Does it smell like Gas? If yes....pull the spark plugs...clean or replace...change engine oil and filter....BEFORE...a restart .

What do those Spark Plugs look like? Pick one or two.

Hard to pick ..it does have a lot of build up on it and the either 3rd or fourth has oil on it pretty good ...

If the engine oil looks and smells ok I would be inclined to put a new set of spark plugs in this vehicle.

When was the last time you gad the computers scanned for Codes and do you remember the codes ID?

If starter fluid will not fire this engine up.....you either have no/weak spark....or....little or no compression. Suggest you pull the Spark Plugs and perform a Compression Test. Perhaps you have a Timing Belt/Chain issue.? What Engine in this vehicle? Are you sure you do not smell gas in the engine oil?

No gas in the oil or any smell...it has a 2.2 motor...belt is fine and didnt jump or anything i changed it a few years ago and my marks are still in order...on monday i am going to put new plugs and wires in and see if it will work ..i do get a spark but its a white spark not a blue one

Sounds like a plan. You might consider the purchase of a Compression Gauge and check Compression while you have all SP removed. What method are you using to check for spark? The spark tester we use looks like a SP...but is specially designed to require 20-25 thousand volts to function. Interesting to note many folks look for a blue spark that will jump about 1/4-1/2 to ground from the SP wire to ground. This old school method for checking spark is no longer adequate for checking today's high voltage systems. Get back to us when the SP are in.

I was taking the plug out and grounding it to the manifold..ill see if we have a compression gauge at work that i can use ..

Ok...gas in the engine oil not a good thing. We now need to find out why the engine is over fueling. Do not start this engine. Change the oil and filter. Do you know what a FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR looks like for your make model year?

Im thinking on how many times its been pumped ...but i also changed oil and replaced spark plugs and still nothing at all

"it's been pumped" I'm not clear as to what that means. Back to square one. Engine Cranks over like the battery and Starter Motor are good...but....she will not ...Fire Up ...START? Is this correct? If yes.....we need to verify a good strong spark. We need to verify Injector Pulses. My opinion....it's off to the parts store for a high voltage spark tester as noted above...and...a NOID Light for your make model year. The Noid light will indicate whether or not the Computer is firing the Fuel Injectors. It would be nice to scan the computer for codes...but...that requires expensive equipment. If you are not inclined to pursue the diagnosis yourself...then I'm afraid it's off to the repair shop.

While your deciding what to do next ....find your Fuel Pressure Regulator and remove the rubber hose. Smell the end of the hose....does it smell like gas?

So did a compression test and only getting 100 ..and should be 145-175

21,360

Concerning those compression readings. If gasoline is washing down those cylinder walls...the result could be low compression. Check the fuel pressure regulator as noted above. Recheck the spark plugs and compare to the above chart. If the new spark plugs are wet...the vehicle is over fueling..or...the engine head gasket went bad. Get back with results.

Could be a fuel delivery issue. When the engine was running....did you notice any warning lights on or flashing?
