I went to pick my husband up from work the other
night and I parked in the parking lot when we get
ready to leave I went to put it in reverse and my car
wouldn't go nowhere but it will go and drive and
move forward just fine what does that mean

1. Smell Trans fluid, if it smells burnt may need a rebuilt Trans. 2. Possible a reverse shift solenoid. Make sure Trans fluid not black or burnt smell. Good luck!

the transmission fluid it's not burnt smell or black it's actually still red I just put new transmission fluid in it about a week ago is the solenoid a easy fix if that's it I already checked about the transmission cost and it's going to be 1150 to 1175 for a rebuilt transmission

Very good that Trans fluid is red and not black or burnt. It's a simple fix for a mechanic. Just need to drain fluid and drop Trans pan down to get to shift solenoids. Just replace the one solenoid ( reverse). Should cost under 150.00 dollars if a mechanic shop repairs Trans. If your husband or someone you know could fix it, you might save about 60- 80 dollars on repair. Btw you need to remove Trans filter also. Remove pan and then filter. You will see solenoids.
