06' SS/SC Chevy Cobalt Clutch Issues and Question

Asked by Jeremy Jan 28, 2019 at 10:34 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged Coupe FWD

Question type: General

I was reversing my 2.0 SS/SC Cobalt 2006 and the car refused to go into
reverse.  Then i heard gear slip and the clutch pedal initiated a full depress.  I
take it this means I need my clutch replaced ?? Do I have to also get the clutch
cylinder checked ??  FYI Earlier on today the car would not easily go into 5th
gear, i had to double clutch it

Maybe. But might just be a linkage problem though. Have a shop check it out if you’re not able to.

Clutch cylinder was the issue, but I believe that the clutch and slave cylinder need to be replaced
