Subaru legacy starts and dies

Asked by juliacain Jul 16, 2013 at 02:26 PM about the 1993 Subaru Legacy 4 Dr L Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 93 Subaru Legacy Sedan FWD with about 215K on it. It's worked will, had a few
things replaced, but now it will start and then promptly die with a very loud crashing noise
when it dies. I'm wondering if it's worth it to keep throwing money at the car for more
repairs or to start looking at a new car.

Not Active

How old is your battery? Do you suspect a timing belt has jumped a tooth?
