Cam shaft senser

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 2002 Subaru Forester.  The timing
belt was replaced 2000 miles ago by a shop. The
car is over heating large amount of bubbles are
burping in the coolant overflow.  I parked the car
one night and now it won't start.  Only one fuel
injector is putting fuel in.  Switched the two
injectors on the one side and fuel still only comes
out the same spot.  So the other injector works but
is not getting a signal to fire I think.  Clues please?

what about spark ? the injector may not be getting a pulse , these things need to be tested , crank and cam sensors are probably part of that equation ? Scan for codes even if the light ain't on , monitors too see what they say

I don't have a code reader and don't have a way of getting to a shop to have them do it. I cleaned the spark plugs but I did not test them considering they weren't getting fuel I thought that was more important. I will pull them and test them today or tomorrow. I didn't know that it would not show codes so if I go buy a scanner that should help?
