My fans wont kick on while sitting so it over heats but thermostat works when i drive to cool it back down.

Is there a fan relay?

If it is not the relay, then it may be the fan motor. Unplug the motor lead and connect it to a 12Volt source. If it does not run from this direct feed, replace it.
