Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 pontiac grand prix 3.8, it
starts as soon as I turn it over but dies
after about 2 to 3 seconds unless I give
it a little gas and then it stays running
and idles just fine?

You could remove the IAC valve and clean things up , the port too . Usually you'd have to keep a foot on the peddle to keep it running when they go bad .
