Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my 04 grand prix wont crack over then u wait a
couple of hours and itll fire right up like nothings
wrong. But now it wont even crank if i ground
starter out like the hot wire aint hot

The big hot wire should go directly to the battery. If it is not hot then it is probably broken or corroded badly.

This is a simple issue. If the hot wire is not hot then it is broken or the battery is dead.
