Sorry it was a typo. I meant I can hear a roaring noise from the rear maybe the hub assembly are going bad? And the steering is a little lose but will ride a straight line for a long time none the less.and it will jerk you when you hit the pedal but it has a little lag with it.

P.s the body is in good shape a little faded paint but no rust or dents I can see.

Wheel bearing and axles start going on those cars at about 160,000 so that's likely what the roaring sound is. That can burn up quite a bit of money especially if you use good quality parts for a long term fix. It could also be due for ball joints and tie rod ends, another good sized bill plus the alignment. If there is service history see what work may have already been done, but there's a good chance this is a car that's just on the verge of needing some major maintenance. It may be worth doing, but the car needs to be cheap to make it worthwhile. I agree, it sounds like a $1000 - $1500 car. Proceed with caution.
