Why won’t my Pontiac Grand Prix go forward in drive

Asked by Zeston13 Aug 27, 2019 at 05:31 AM about the 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’ve had my GTP for a year now, and
it has worked fine until recently when
I try to shift it into drive and it won’t
drive forward, but reverse will still
work. What is the problem and how
can I fix it?

I would think your car has over 150K miles by now and is 19 years old, it might be time for a transmission rebuild, check with a local mechanic or transmission shop.
