just before i replaced 2 Ignition coils 3 days after they went bad i manually changed gears so now you have to get up speed before it will change gears and now it is staying in second gear.

ignition coils went bad and i drove the car that way for three days. I manually shifted the gears and it changed every perfectly. when i replaced the coils i would have to get up some speed before it would go into gear so after that the car for some reason is hung up in second gear.

Probably just a coincidence. Though I suspect the transmission will need to be replace or a rebuild. Have a shop diagnose it for you.
