03 eclipse spyder w pee in the gas tank

Ok. Lame yess...my friend ran outta gas out of
town. His friend said to pee in the tank ...he did.
Car was towed out of gas a week later here i am w
him to get poor car n it just keeps nananananaing
n i go STOP. if its outta gas u have to prime the
pump. Tried it sorta tried to start once turned over
for a sec then he continued to nananan it n pretty
much thats it...were 3 hrs from home its 10:30 n im
considering removing the fuel pump n trying to
rinse it w fuel of course or put gas w injector
cleaner in it, in it. I dunno plz help

Wow. It can take a bit for the fuel to make it to the injector rail. What i do if I've removed my fuel rail to prime the system is disable the ignition (spark) and crank it over in 5 second intervals 2-3 times, hook the spark back up then crank until it coughs, stop then go again and it will usually start at that point. Fuel has a cooling effect on the motor that pee probably can't duplicate so the pump could have overheated.
