seatbelt light stays on sometime after I drive for a while and get out then restarte it the light will go out. what would cause this is there a relay for the seatbelt or a sensor in the seat controling the seatbelt light

I believe there is a switch in the seatbelt buckle. It is probably either bad or the contacts need to be cleaned.

I have a 2002 Lincoln ls. Everytime I turn the key a beeping sound goes for about 3 mins like a fasten seatbelt. Then it goes away. About 30 mins later while driving it does it again. And again. Etc. I have no dash lights and Jo codes showing up. 1 answer
