96 Lincoln Signature Town Car - "Check Air Suspension" light on.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've been having questions about the air suspension on my 1996 Lincoln
Signature Town Car.  The air suspension pump will kick in almost every
time I start the car.  And there will be times when the thing will kick in
while just parked.  Is this normal?    Now today while driving down the
highway, the "check air suspesion" light has come on and I noticed that I
was not hearing the pump kicking in either.   What am I suppose to
check, in other words... what do I do next?

You probably have an air leak in the air suspension. The fix can be quite expensive which is why some people change it out to a standard suspension.
