how to lock rear veiw mirrors on 98 mark 8

my rear view door mirrors move when I reverse then again in drive Ive tried to reset them but it stays the same you can hear the motors run when in reverse they drop so you cant see and in drive they return so you can see  any help thank you this is a collecter series #19

you can turn off the reverse mirrors setting in drivers settings on the message center console. pushing the button advances through the options and the reset button changes the setting of the option displayed. Reverse mirrors is the 5th option.

U have to go into ur cars computer settings and turn the feature off my 98 did this and I thought it was annoying
