hard shifting

Asked by Hugurharley Oct 21, 2016 at 09:47 AM about the 1994 GMC Sierra 1500 C1500 SL Standard Cab LB

Question type: General

My transmission shifts very hard from 1st to
second gear. Other than that it runs fine . Anybody
know the best repair to start with?

I'd put some Lucas tranny fluid."it stops hard shifts" in there. Make sure car is running while you do this. Drive car a few miles afterwards. There should be a noticeable difference. Hope this helps
