Can a 1991 British Escort's fenders/lights be swapped onto an American Escort.

So I absolutely love the look of a 1991 Ford Escort Cosworth but since I live in America the chance of owning a car like that is next to impossible. Is there any way I could take an American Ford Cosworth and put the fenders and lights of the Cosworth onto the American frame and shell. I know it would be difficult but I'm savvy with bodywork and metal. The basic question is: would it bolt up or were the two vehicles different in every way.

I think you can, there may be a few parts that you may have somewhat of a difficult time with, but if you are savvy then you may pull it off, good luck...
