Can a 2004 Ford Taurus motor fit into a
newer body, like a 2008

No. The 2004 Taurus had two different 3.0 liter V6s and two transmissions. The 2008 Taurus has two 3.5 liter V6s (one w/turbo) and a six speed transmission. Nothing can swap out including the PCM that runs them.
