Air Conditioner Problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,

One day when it was raining I had the air conditioning running on its lowest temp, 60F and decided it was too cold, so turned it up to about 75F... when I went to turn the AC back down to 60 (roughly 2 minutes later) the display would read 60F but it only blew out heat and to this day it only blows heat. Could this be a fuse problem?

Thanks.

No - Your blend air motor went on the fritz. If you pull out the radio carrier - Look straight in to the heater box you will see a rectangular motor assembly 4" by 6" with a white squared holed shaft going through the middle of it. Its a bitch to replace but thats yer problem Good Luck

Is this something that would need to be done by a mechanic or is it something that could be attempted by my husband without too much harm possibly being caused? Is it a costly fix? Thank you so much!
