Lose all electrical power

Asked by Jessica Oct 07, 2019 at 06:07 PM about the 2005 Ford Five Hundred Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought the car from a used dealership 10 days ago.
All of a sudden when driving down the road lose all
power to dash lights, gauges, radio and air
conditioner. Seem as though loses power to motor.
Battery has been checked comes back good. What
other issue could this be. A complete electrical issue
or possibly an alternator issue?

Had same issues they replaced alternator replace battery three times each call my own after researching the voltage regulator in the alternator it's controlled by the ATM cesium quit communicating we're actually just as communicating badly telling it to charge at 19 volts continuously which causes the clusters and all your other electrical to go haywire to prevent damage my final fix was converting my alternator to make single wire alternator what the constant 13.8 volt output
