just droped the ohv 4.0 v6 /trans into my exsplorer that had a 4.0 sohc/trsns removed whats the best way to make this work

99 ranger is the ohv/ trans my exsplorer is a 2002

You will have problems with a mismatch between the ECU and transmission or engine either way. I don't know if it will work and your Explorer is now not smog legal to boot.

i have the trans that came with 4.0 ohv it only has 1 senser on the trans the trans i took out is 5R555E it has 3 dont know whitch one to use aiso the conecters sre different the motor&trans set on the mounts good also lines up to the axle makes me think theres hope or byeing the ranger engine&trans was told would work payed 150 took there word for it thank tor your divine wisdom ive bought repeir msnuals please whats my nexts move

This is not about things "bolting up". As you have seen the electronics do not match. My advice is to sell the engine and buy a correct one for your vehicle.

There are no manuals for installing the wrong engine in your car. Good luck.
