Why do my truck cut off sometimes when braking?

Hi I have a 2006 Chevy suburban. My truck shuts off
when braking. It happens mostly when I make a
sudden stop or press brake hard.

Not 100% sure, but have your vacuum booster checked. Sounds like a major loss of vacuum which could a lot of devices to stop working properly causing the engine to shut down.
