you can go to autozone and they can reset or cut light off.

The GM products IIRC use a combination of key on/key off cycles.  You may check your fuse panel, some of the Pontiacs I worked on had a breaker-type switch that you could press and hold to reset the oil light.  This is on the interior fuse panel.

If in doubt a dealer svc. department can tell you the procedure.

On my 2001 GMC Sierra 1500, I turned to the key to the run position (don't start the truck) pressed the gas pedal to the floor five times, turned the key to off, then back to run.  The change oil light would blink several times then go off.
