engine problems

ok so I have a 2001 Silverado z71 4x4 with the 4.8 liter and I replaced the intake gasket because it was leaking then when I start it up it has a rough idle and sounds like its missing a tech at my work said it was the mass airflow sensor so I replaced it but when I unplug it the truck runs great I keep checking for leaks but cannot find any. is there anyone here that can guide me in the rite direction im running out of ideas and love this truck
