i have a 94 ranger 4.0 v6 4x4 automatic all my gears work great exept over drive it doesnt even try to shift and i have a high idle and replaced the iac but it only helped alittle any help is appricia

Over drive is usually the gear to go first,you may check the over drive sensor,but most of the time this is a sign of tranny going bad.

If you want a quick fix, won't fix forever but it may help for a month or two. Run sea foams tranny "fix it" fluid threw it. But if it's not even trying and just slipping right away I'd be looking for a good rebuild soon
