Pls. Help me fix my car window can't afford to pay.a mechanic

passenger window works well but driver  but driver
side only goes Down  not both ways  can u give me  
any detail info . Single mom trying my best.

Do you hear a noise ,, like its trying to move or is it quiet? If quiet then the up switch may be bad and that's a very simple fix /// But if you hear a noise ,,, like a motor running than grab the window and try to pull it up as you push the up bottom ,,,The part that me be broken is called a regulator and that's a major PITA

If you can get the window back up don't roll it down again. Maybe a piece of tape over the switch to remind you,
