About: 1987 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
Hood latch won"t release on the drivers side .
I went to go check my fluid levels the other day and when I pulled the hood release only the passenger side popped ,drivers side won't open . I have to assume the cable snapped.How do I get it open to make the repair ?

On my '95 I had...in the manual I seem to remember it saying to open the left door & U can pull a rod or wire there in front of the top door hinge. I forget exactly,...but I,m close!
Either borrow someones glove box vette manual or phone the Chevy 'service manager', they don't mind giving a little free advice.....

they sell a special tool on most corvette parts sites, without that specific one you won't have much luck getting the hood open.
