How do I install a antenna

I need to replace the antenna and bought a universal antenna, but when trying to replace it. the plastic piece that holds the radio power cord and screw in and antenna won't open or doesnt appear to have a way to open it. How do I open this piece?

My radio turns on but no sound. The antenna does not raise, so maybe if I replace the motor on the antenna then it will work?

94LT1 that is drawing 12 volts while sitting in garage over night didn't start without a jump. mechanic checked all fuses one by one, checked 4 pcm, seat motors, couldn't come up with why. 1 answer

blower motor blows all the time also antenna doesn't go down and i know i need to buy a new antenna motor. keep radio off wonder if 12 volt draw could be coming from radio situation.
