15 city/20 highway max for both.  The smaller engine is offset by the weight of the car so you don't get much better.

Thanks guys. I'm lookin  at a '91, which I'm guessing would get the same if not a little better mileage than a '89.

That's amazing! You don't have any upgrades on the motor that would help boost fuel econ.? Cold air, exhaust, etc..?

Get a Maro with the 305 or bigger you may get worse fuel economy but at least people wont make fun of you for driving a V6 Camaro.

Well, I had a 87 iroc-z L98 motor, the 350 TPI, but I had headers on it, bullet muffler, and dump for the exhaust, max ported TPI base, cleaned up runners, and ported plenum, a TPIS airfoil Bosch +4 plugs which are good for 6.8hp on the dyno, a 160* thermo, and my fuel pressure at 47.5 psi, MSD superconductor wires, running 36* of timing, had manual steering, and no underdrive pulleys, but only the factory ones, running only the alternator and waterpump and I got 25 mpg in the city, but you have to learn how to accelerate only as much as you need to get up to speed, and coast using the car's weight(mine was 2955 lbs) to slow the car down, and don't use the brakes too hard to make them last longer, and don't get into the gas all the time, and then you'll get good mileage.  I also have a firebird they only made 25 of, but check them out and other cars of mine and my family at www.cardomain.com/ride/471099 and my dads page is at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2791673  I'm also on myspace at www.myspace.com/cronsformula
