Transmission swap

First manual, or automatic. If it's manual. You can use up to a 1996 corvette transmission. If its an automatic. You can go up to 1992. After 1992 the auto trans was electronically controlled. The 89 used a TH700R4. The Corvette 700's were built better than the rest of the cars and trucks that used the 700. The Vette had a better band apply servo. Modified valve body to improve shift feel. And a Vette only output shaft to name just a few. These 700's respond very well to modifications like a Transgo shift kit. I like to use stage two or three for very firm shifts and high rpm reliability.
