Is it stuck in 4 low? If not then look at the transmission fluid and see it is low. Check the brake fluid level as well.

No he checked all of that could it be the speed sensor

The speed sensor is part of the ABS. The transmission might be bad then. I would have it looked at by a REPUTABLE mechanic. As far as the brakes is the emergency brake on? Even if it's on just a little it will kick on the light.

The emergency brake is off and my dad knows how to work on cars / trucks but this one has him confused can u think of anything else that it might be thank u in advance

Yea its stumping me as well. I'm also not there either so that makes it a lil harder to analyze it. Might have to have a mechanic take a look at it.

I need help bad. My truck us a Chevy 1500 1995 and if I drive about 30 miles or so and hit a red light and go to hit the gas. I'll have the peddle to the floor and it will start off slow then out of no where kick in and speed up. And if I'm going down the high way and the cruise control is on and I'm going up a hill it will do that. Throttle slow then kick in and speed up. Also when I go to slow down pulling in some where the truck sounds like its about to shut off then comes back to normal. What wrong with it? 11 Answers

i have a 95 chevy c1500 v8 200k plus miles. new battery. seems to short out and die, and wont restart. when key is turned on the amp gauge barely moves up. ive tried fumbling with the obvious wires (+ - wires etc) with no change. its done this once before. i let the truck sit for about a month then bought a new batt and problem went away. today while driving it died, with the same symptoms. also ive notice that when driving the blinkers make the amp gauge fluctuate down with every flash. thanks in advance for response 11 Answers

I have an 01 s10 manual that i cant get out of neutral, when i try an push the shifter into gear it makes a nasty sound. is this a transmission issue or a master cylinder problem, my clutch sinks all the way too the floor there is no leverage in the pedal? any help would be appreciated. 3 Answers

2006 Cobalt all of the sudden I lost power steering, cruise control, power windows, windshield wipers. The a air bag light came on and the middle of the display on the dashboard (I.e. where the check in light and seat belt light is) is out. The car has driven fine until I started this morning. Now my driver's side window is stuck down and it's barley drivable.
