4l60e downshift problem?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi I have a 98 k1500 with the 5.7
4l60e trans. I just replaced the tans
filter and fluid today and still has the
code p1860 for down shift. It will
sometimes start in 1st gear and shift
fine but when going to downshift it
will go to third and sometimes
second and will NEVER go back to
1st gear. Any ideas? All solenoid a
are fine and reads a 3-2 shift
solenoid problem

Try reading this manual which I downloaded at http://www.4l60eguide.com/. It was recommended to me and I find it very helpful and it is a complete guide. It has a ton of information in it that helped me rebuild/repair 4l60e transmission. It also includes useful diagrams and pictures, plus diagnosis and repair solutions.
