In a 89 F150 can the DFR be bypassed? And a description of how and what parts would be needed? Thanks

first understand what you have to work with, two tanks, two pumps, two controlled check valves, a return fuel line, and dash switch. the simplest way would be just drill and tap fittings low side of tanks and install a jump line.for fuel.you'll always be running one pump or the other from the dash switch. you also retain an extra pump if one stops working

There is also a lift pump on the frame rail on this model.
