Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving down the road for about
20 minutes and my truck sputtered
like it ran out if gas and then died.
Well I tried to start it back up but it
would start for about 1 to 2 seconds
then die so I got 5 gallons of gas and
put in the truck and same thing well I
towed it home and the next morning I
bought a filter and replaced it and it
fired immediately well after 20
minutes of idling it sounded as if it
ran out of gas and died. I can let it sit
for several hours and it will fire up for
twenty minutes then sputter and die I
changed the pump, filter (3x's), and
filled it full of gas. Any ideas?

The Fuel Injection Spider on top of the engine is bad.

OK thanks having same issue with our truck did fuel pump and filter, filter first. Still not running right and sounds funny. Also engine light is on.

If you light is on that's good because that's just your trucks way of saying somethings wrong but if you take your vehicle to an auto parts store the have a machine that will tell you exactly why your engine light is on!
