you tried jiggy-jiggin' the steering wheel left, then right then left then right -while- push-pull-push-pull-push-pullin' the key at the same time?

Sometimes the power steering issues twisting forces on the steering wheel, and your keylock will 'latch onto' these forces and get 'latched', but really pull hard opposite the direction the power steering is tryin' to pull it, and it will be free--god be praised!
