where is the fuel filter located

this car was sitting for 2 years but ran really good when it was parked the fuel smelled really bad, added clean fuel but i'm thinking i'm not getting fuel to the engine. how much pressure is in this system and where is the fuel filter located?

what type of car and what year? its best to drop the tank and get all that old gas out of it all the gunk in the tank will get sucked up by the pump and ruin it most often the filter is located under the car in line by the frame or unibody rail and some also require specail tools hope that help you a little
