Most lotus's are the closest legal car you can get to an open wheel car right?
They are designed around moderate power with good balance and verall light weight design if that's what you mean. But an Ariel Atom is likely the closest-feeling to an open-wheel race car.

if you want open wheel performance buy a motorcycle. nothin touches a good liter bike for cars in stock form.
Depends on for what type of racing in drag racing id go with the supra any day, in a circuit race id go with the lightweight decent horsepowered lotus. really depends on years and makes tho man.
