Lancer is faster from pull away because power to kg ratio is better , but on top end skyline kick ass, this is the R34 , the R33 is a bit slower but there are mean R32 running
the skyline is easily faster. higher top speed, more horse power... bigger engine in general.
just to elaborate, if your looking for top end bragging rights the R34 will be the winner, but if your looking for Acceleration EVO no question. in the Quarter (stock for stock) the Evo is the clear winner much much lighter and nearly identical power. if your looking to get one of the 2 for racing i'd vote an EVO simple because parts are easier to find and it really likes to be modded. (also can't find an R34 anywhere in the states really)
An evo is much easier to mod if you're looking for serious power. The R34's engine has a couple of prominent flaws that require some extra $$ to replace. BUT, the engine is probably hardier. And well, your question was rather vague in the first place. Are you talking about which one is faster stock or the potentials they can reach? Cuz well, there is a limit to the amount of power you can get down to the ground and you have to account for a bunch of other factors, like swapped gear ratios for example. The 2.8L V6 in the R34 though means a slightly better displacement distribution, so perhaps it could rev a little better than the evo at the top end, but it could be too small a difference to be of significance.
