1998 Dodge Ram runs 8 miles and stops. Let sit for 30 mins and willstart up and go another 8 miles before quiting. What can be the problem?

1998 Dodge Ran runs 8 miles and stops.  Let it sit for 30 mins and will start up and go another 8 miles before quiting.  Changed the relay but didn't fix problem.  Any suggestions?

Hi shiner, It could be a fuel deliver problem. Try replacing the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator and then hook up a fuel pressure guage to make sure your pressure isn't dropping off. If all else fails I would replace the fuel pump as well. Good luck!
