1997 Mercedes Benz C280 start fine but will not accelerate,drive but does not go over 20 MPH.what do you think is wrong

I had accident andihad door damage and since than my car dont take gas

The brain might have got damaged in the collision and is in "emergency mode". They can fix that with the diagnostic machine at the dealer ship
