2003 dodge dakota 3.9l v6 2wd ext cab automatic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

just bought this truck and doing some servicing to it. drained the trans fluid and found a small broken off piece of metal. showed it to someone more knowledgeable and they believe it is part of a snap ring most likely from the clutch pack on the overdrive. if this is true will it last or is it damaged severely. i have a 90 day warranty but nothing has stopped working. just need your expert opinion on this.

The only expect you should get is to take the snap ring to a good tranny shop and have them look at it.
