I had the same thing happen to me and the battery holder is broke and it happened to the only one I have and so my chooses now are to get a new one from the dealer or I can go and get a remote car starter and that will fix the problem it suck but that is what is wrong with it. heather
you have to check out keylessfix.com there is an easy and cheap way to fix these gm remotes. the 2 common problems are the battery holder being loose and the buttons wearing down on the inside. both can easily and permanently be fixed.
