where is the brake switch for a 2000 chevy C/K 3500 2wd 4 door dually 454

It is very hard for me to find info on this truck is there somewhere other than a dealer that I can go for a chilton or something. I have a chilton on the year of this truck but it only shows for a silverado extended cab nothing on 4 door or eveen dually.

Does your book cover the 3500? Is your truck an HD? You may have grabed the wrong book. The brake switch is on the rod for the brake pedal.

No it doesn't cover the 3500. No my truck is not the HD. There is a metal plate covering everything including the steering column, do I need to take the dash apart. Thank you for the help.

The plate should have a few bolts holding it on and that's about it.
