Rebuilding fuel lines

Asked by diy001 Jul 09, 2009 at 10:27 PM about the Chevrolet S-10

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need help! I need to put quick connects on 3/8 and 5/16 inch nylon fuel lines. I cannot get the nylon to seal around connecters. I have tried boiling which resulted in burned hands and kinked lines. I have also tried a heat gun which resulted in melting the plastic. I am on the last part of rebuilding the truck and I cannot be stopped due to some little pieces of plastic. Anyone please help!
