How do you change the coil packs on a 2.5 , 4 cylinder , 1987 Chevy Celebrity?

Let the air out of the front tires and jack up the rear of the vehicle. This allows you to see and reach behind the intake manifold. Use a bright light and mirror to see what you are doing. it is tight in there, use 1/4"socket set to remiove the fasteners. It takes a while but easier than pulling the tranny or engine.
